Registration & Payment

How do I register for lessons?

You can register online at app.splashaquatics.ca. You’ll first need to create an account, and once you’re there, click the “Book Now” button. We show all our available times on our website, that way you can pick the time that works best for you and your swimmer! If you need additional assistance or have questions, we’re always happy to help, give us a call at (289) 270-0788 or email us at info@splashaquatics.ca.

When are payments due?

Payment for the lesson is due at the time of registration if you book online. If you registered over the phone or email, you’ll receive an invoice via email that is due one [1] week prior to the start of the session.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we do! If you’d like to pay via a payment plan, please give us a call and we’ll schedule the invoices in 3 separate payments, the first payment is due one [1] week prior to the start of the session, and the 2 remaining payments are scheduled for the 1st of the following 2 months.

What if my payment is late?

We understand that life happens, we will send a follow up email 7 days following the missed payment date, and will charge the card on file 14 days after the due date.

How does OAP funding work?

We offer Adaptive Swim Sessions overseen by an RBA that are eligible for OAP funding. All adaptive swim sessions are registered via phone or email so that we can collect additional information about your swimmer and set up your initial consultation with the RBA. OAP sessions are exclusively available at our 160 Main St S. Brampton location. We provide receipts on the 1st of the month for the prior month, payments need to be made prior to receiving a receipt.

Can I hold my spot for the next session?

Yes! One week before registration opens to the public we will send out a form to all currently registered families to save their current day and time for the next session. If you want to change your day and time you’ll need to wait until registration opens to the public.

Missed Lessons & Makeups

What if my swimmer misses a lesson?

Every session families are eligible for two [2] makeup lessons per enrollment. We book make up lessons in open slots or when another swimmer is absent, so unfortunately we cannot guarantee make up lessons.

In extenuating circumstances we offer a credit for missed lessons. These credits must be used toward the next consecutive session, cannot be transferred to another family and carry no cash value.

How do I book a makeup?

To book a makeup lesson, please call us at (289) 270-0788 or email us at info@splashaquatics.ca. Let us know some days or times that work for the coming weeks and we’ll do our best to accommodate you!

What if we arrive late?

Lessons end at their scheduled time so the next swimmer can start on time. If you arrive partway through, your instructor will make the most of the time remaining.

What if my swimmer will be away for several weeks?

If your swimmer will be away for three [3] or more consecutive weeks due to illness, injury, or surgery, please reach out. We'll work with you on a credit or a hold, we'd rather find something that works than have you lose your spot.

Cancellations & Closures

What happens during a thunderstorm?

In the event of thunder during our outdoor lessons we cancel immediately. Lessons do not resume until 30 minutes after the last thunder strike. During this time families and instructors are advised to seek shelter. Any lessons that were in progress are cancelled, and if the swimmer received less than half their scheduled lesson they are eligible for a makeup. All upcoming lessons will be notified via phone of the status of their lessons.

Indoor lessons will continue as scheduled.

Do you cancel for winter weather?

Yes, in the event that the driving conditions are too dangerous, we cancel to ensure the safety of our clients and instructors. We try to make the determination 2 hours in advance, and will notify all affected families by phone call and email, as well as posting on our social media.

How will I know if a lesson is cancelled?

We will notify all clients of cancelled lessons as soon as a cancellation is necessary via phone call and email. If you need to update your phone number or email address, you can do so on your client portal, app.splashaquatics.ca.

What if Splash cancels a lesson?

Although we do our best to prevent cancellations, they sometimes happen. In the event that Splash cancels a lesson, families will receive a credit on their account for the upcoming session.

What if I need to withdraw from a session?

You can withdraw from a session at any time! The remaining balance will be credited to your account to use in upcoming sessions. These credits expire after a year, cannot be transferred to another family and do not have a cash value. We will not be able to provide refunds for withdrawals.

Health & Hygiene

When should I keep my swimmer home?

Swimmers who have fevers or other contagious symptoms should remain at home until they are better. This helps us prevent the spread of diseases, as well as keeping our instructors healthy for all their other swimmers! In the event that your swimmer needs to call out sick, we will do our best to provide a makeup session.

Does my swimmer need a swim diaper?

Yes, swim diapers are required for all swimmers who are not reliably toilet trained. Swimmers under 3 are required to wear a minimum of two [2] layers. We recommend Happy Nappies as an added layer of protection to swim diapers to ensure we keep the pool as clean as possible.

You can purchase Happy Nappies from Splash About here.

What health information do you need from us?

If there’s any specific medical conditions or complexities your swimmer has that may affect the lesson, please let us know so we can provide your swimmer with the best experience! This information is only shared with the instructor and is kept confidential.

What happens if there's a pool fouling incident?

Accidents happen! In the event of pool fouling we will cancel the following lessons while we clean the pool. Our team will make the determination on how long the closure should be and all affected families will be notified via phone and email.

At the Pool

Do I need to stay during the lesson?

Yes, parents and caregivers are required to stay on the premises during their swimmer(s)’s lesson. If a parent or caregiver leaves the premises during a lesson and is not back before the end of their lesson, this affects the instructor’s ability to start their next lesson on time. We have a two [2] strike policy, the first strike is a warning, and if it happens again, it may result in a suspension of lessons for the remainder of the session.

Can siblings come along?

Of course! We allow up to two [2] swimmers per lesson, as long as it’s deemed safe by the instructor, so their sibling is welcome to join the lesson. However, if they are not enrolled in the lesson, siblings must remain outside and away from the pool.

What should we bring?

Swimmers should bring towels, a change of clothes, and flip flops. Goggles are optional and up to the swimmer. If your swimmer isn’t reliably toilet trained, we also require that you bring a swim diaper.

Aside from that we have all the necessary equipment for a positive experience!

Can I take photos or video?

Yes! We love when parents and caregivers document their swimmer’s progress. The only thing we ask is that you only take photos of your swimmer and delete any photos taken that have other swimmers in them.

If you post your photos on social media feel free to tag us @SplashAquaticsInc on Instagram and Facebook!

Will we always have the same instructor?

We do our best to ensure your swimmer always has the same instructor, however sometimes your instructor may be off sick, in which case you may have a substitute. In those cases we reach out in advance to let you know.
