Accessibility
Last updated September 23, 2026.
Splash Aquatics is built around the idea that every swimmer belongs in the water, including swimmers with disabilities, neurodivergent swimmers, and families who need things done a little differently. We are committed to providing our lessons, services, and information in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities, in line with Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
In the pool and at our locations
- Support persons are welcome. A parent, caregiver, or support worker can accompany a swimmer who needs support. Just let us know when you book so we can plan the lesson together.
- Service animals are welcome in the areas of our facilities open to the public, except where excluded by law, such as the pool water itself. We will work with you on alternatives if a service animal can't enter a particular area.
- Assistive devices are welcome, whether personal mobility, communication, or sensory devices. Tell us what helps your swimmer and we'll build it into their lessons.
- Adaptive lessons: our instructors are trained to adapt instruction for swimmers with physical, developmental, and sensory needs. Visit Programs to learn about Adaptive Swim Sessions.
Our team
Everyone who teaches or serves families at Splash receives training on providing accessible customer service, including how to interact with people who use assistive devices, service animals, or support persons, and what to do if someone is having trouble accessing our services.
Service disruptions
If something that families with disabilities rely on is temporarily unavailable, such as a pool lift, an accessible change room, or accessible parking at one of our partner pools, we will let affected families know as soon as we can, explain the reason and how long it's expected to last, and suggest alternatives. Notices are sent by email and posted on this website when appropriate.
Accessible formats and communication supports
Information about our programs, policies, and your bookings is available in accessible formats or with communication support on request, for example large print, a plain-text document, or going through it together over the phone. We'll work with you to find a format that works and provide it in a timely way, at no extra cost.
Hiring
Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of our hiring process. Let us know when you apply.

Some content, such as older photos, embedded videos, or content from other providers like maps and our booking app, may not yet fully meet this standard.
