FAQ

We at Splash belive that we truly are the best option for swimming lessons around. We teach a varient on the Red Cross swimming program which is specifcaly talourd by each instructor for each child they are teaching. Our instructors are teaching a program with over 60 years behind it. Each instructor is trained by other instructors with over 20 years of colective experience constently teaching these programs. These instrucotrs will come to your home and teach a private lesson in a private pool in your backyard or you can come to one of our pools, this allows for no distractions as there is no one else around and the children are able to fucuse on what they are learning.

Each class is 40 min long. we have deturnemed this to be the optimal time allowing for skills to be focused on specifaly aswell as allowing for multiple skills to be worked on still incorperating fun and games in to each lesson. If you do not beleve this is enough time then you can book a lesson back to back aslong as the instructor is avalible

You are able to add up to three kids per class for no extra charge, and it is up to you how to devide the class up. you can have the instructor teach all three at once of you can choose to focus on one for 20 min and the others for 10 min each or any combination of the 40 min lesson.

Each of our instuctors have there Water Safty Instructor certification, aswell as there Natinal Lifegaurd. Most of our instuctors also have there Life svaing instuctor qualifiacatin. We also give our instrucors top tear training, teaching them how to teach specific skills best, common issues with different stroke techniques, the differences in comunicating with children of different personality types, aswell as stratigies to teach kids to stay safe around and in the water. We also have instuctors with crisis prevantion and intervention training, first aid instuctor qualifications, water safty instrucor training, and many more. If you are ever curious please dont hesitate to ask your instrucor.

We are training partners with the Red Cross and we teach their learn to swim program. That being said we teach progressively which means if your swimmer is excelling at front crawl we won't hold them back because they're struggling with back crawl. That means no more being stuck in the same level over and over.

Our lesson price is calculated based on a private one to one ratio. This means that when broken down by time spent with the instructor you're actually paying less for our lessons than the municipality or other private swim schools. Also remember you can have up to three children in the lesson at no additional cost. You can have them swim together if they are close to the same level or split the 40 min up between the swimmers.

Yes! You can tell who will be teaching the lesson when you book so you choose the instructor for each lesson. Stay with the same instructor or change it up each lesson to see who is the best fit for your swimmer. Since all of our instructors have the same training and share their notes on swimmers progress you’ll never have to worry about a difference in quality.

You can cancel a lesson for any reason, no questions asked. We don’t mind if you're sick or if you just need to change the day. As long as you cancel 24 hours before the start of the lesson, it will go back into your account and you can book it again whenever works best for you. We ask for 24 hours notice to be fair to our instructors and give them the notice of their changed schedule before the start of their day.

Since we teach outdoors our lessons can be impacted by the weather. Our first concern is safety for our swimmers and instructors. We monitor the storms closely. In case of lightning within Milton we cancel all lessons until 30 minutes has passed with no lightning. If your lesson is cancelled due to weather we will add it back to your account and you can schedule it again on a sunnier day.

If you're unsure of your child's level don’t worry! Since they are swimming privately the instructor can work with them at their current skill level. The instructor will also give you lots of feedback about how they're doing and what skills they’ve progressed on.

We think children should learn to be safe as soon as possible. Especially those with backyard pools. Starting at 6 months we teach a water safety program that teaches children to save themselves if they fall in the water. Children are taught to roll onto their backs and float so they can breath. Once they know how to walk we begin teaching them to kick. Children are taught to look for a point of safety and swim to that point so they can exit the water.
We think it’s important to say that no swimming lessons can replace proper pool safety. Children should never be left unattended near any water and pools should be completely fenced.

That’s a little bit up to you! Our lessons are private but you can have up to three swimmers in the same lesson at no extra cost. We cap the number at three to ensure that everyone remains safe in the water.

Lessons that are purchased must be used in that swim session. We can’t offer refunds for lessons that were not booked. But we’re confident that you’ll love your lessons so much you’ll be wanting more!
We’re here to help so if something comes up that is out of your control that doesn't allow you to swim give us a call and we’ll do our best to help work out a solution.
